The Falaj Accelerator Programme
Twelve months, a live operating site, and a signed pilot contract at the end for the companies that make it through.
Most energy accelerators end in a demo day. Ours ends in a purchase order or it has failed. Each cohort is matched to a named operating problem on a named asset, with an engineer from that asset assigned as the technical counterpart for the full twelve months.
We take no equity. What we offer is access — to a running plant, to the people who operate it, and to a procurement route that does not require a decade of trading history to clear.
How a cohort runs
- 01
Problem definition
Each asset submits operating problems worth solving. Roughly a dozen are selected and published as the challenge set.
- 02
Selection
Applications are assessed by the asset team that raised the problem, not by a central innovation function.
- 03
Site residency
Six months with physical access to the asset, a technical counterpart, and a safety induction identical to any contractor.
- 04
Field trial
A measured trial against a pre-agreed success criterion. The criterion is set before the trial starts and is not moved.
- 05
Pilot contract
Companies that meet the criterion go to a paid pilot on standard commercial terms. Those that do not are told why.
